When we cycled from London to Paris we passed through the beautiful town of Forges-les-Eaux where we spent the night.
We stayed at the Forges Hotel. This place is truly amazing for the price. It’s close to the town centre, the rooms are big, clean and importantly quiet.
The staff we’re really friendly and had no problem with us arriving on bike. They have a store room right by the front desk where they locked them away for us.
What really set this hotel apart was the casino right opposite, how strange – in the middle of a small French village.
The big bonus of this place is that they have a large swimming pool and sauna’s in their health club which guests can use free of charge – this was perfect after a long day in the saddle.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

The hotel was a touch on the luxury side, which I think was a god send . More than I care to admit.
