Has anyone out there cycled from North West England to Paris? I’m thinking of taking five days in July and am happy to do up to 100 miles a day. I’m thinking Portsmouth may be the best place to aim for and catch an overnight ferry. I’d appreciate any routes or advice about where to stay on route. I have a hotel booked in central Paris to meet the family in time for the finale of the TDF. I don’t even use a Garmin atm as I like to pretend I know where I’m going in the n/west! I do use Strava on my phone (in my pocket) and suppose I will have to get a Garmin with mapping function. Thanks, Graeme.
