3 day cycle routes

Three days & two nights London to Paris bike ride routes
Cycling from London to Paris in 3 days is the most popular option. It remains a tough challenge and one which will really test your legs. Providing you train hard, well in advance of your trip this challenge really is achievable to everyone.

The key decision here is whether you get yourself down to the coast and rest there for the night before taking the ferry over first thing on day two or whether you aim to cycle to the coast and take the ferry the same day and stay the night in your chosen French port town.

Also for cycling in France, depending on your preferences, you may wish to increase day 2’s distance to allow you the opportunity to arrive in Paris in good time the third day. If you’re taking the ferry on the morning of day 2 then you will need to think about the reduced daylight time whilst you are aboard the ferry and the one hour time difference which may require you to cycle on through the night on day 2.

Be careful of the ferry times. Different routes have varying timetables. It is recommended by most ferry companies that you arrive 45 minutes before the planned departure time. Best to double-check with the ferry company you choose.

Finally, arriving in Paris is a big deal, so make sure you give yourselves time to celebrate. These London to Paris cycle routes prioritise a reasonable distance on the final day, where possible (typically constrained by accommodation options), so that you have ample time to arrive in daylight and properly take in what you’ve achieved.
